OOTD and update

Morning guys! Today I'm doing an outfit post (outfits from yesterday) and a quick go over on what I've been up to!

This weekend I leave for my Bangor University field trip, it's part of my 3rd year and I'm quite looking forward to it. Given that my degree is Geography I'll be doing a lot of walking/outside activities and so purchased a few new things from Decathalon - waterproofs, backpack, gym bag. If your ever wanting decent quality stuff for hiking, running, horse riding etc then go here as it's super cheap but the stuffs reliable!

Being out and about most days getting what I need together means dressing nicely but comfortably and efficiently as otherwise changing rooms can get stressful! So my obviously choice - leggings and a graphic print top.
My grey leggings are from Primark and were an absolute bargain at £3! I've been dying on a grey pair for ages as I think they are really flattering and make my almost all black outfits a little more interesting. I love Primark and feel the quality is better than the pricing, I expected the leggings to be see through but that's not the case, they are relatively thick which for £3, is great. So I shall be living in these at university this Winter.

My t-shirt is from Topshop sale last Summer, I got it for £12 and I've worn it 100 times. It's slightly gothic which suits me perfectly and being black and white, goes with everything! It's sadly getting a bit old now so after my trip it shall be going in the bin! I'm in dire need of graphic print/slogan tops so need to invest in a good few when I get back.

My hat is from River Island which I bought years ago but is and always will be my favourite! It's a panta and has knitted ears sewed on so even if your soaking wet from Winter rain, you can still look cute.

Below is a photo of my hair and make-up. I've been losing the will with my hair lately as it's too thick (takes 30/3 minutes to dry and 45 minutes to straighten) but I refuse to get it cut before I go away as it would just be a waste! Luckily my hair blow dries nicely so I've been doing that instead and it's improved the condition. My hair keeps well as I always use good shampoo and conditioner plus heat protector so although my hair's in good shape, it's always good to give it a rest from straightening! Plus I feel my hair grows faster when  I don't straighten it.
My make-up is the usual, plus rubywoo lipstick from MAC - one of my absolute favourites!

Today I'm going to see my gran for breakfast and then going to do some last minute shopping before getting an early night!
Thanks for reading, I'll be back soon.

OOTD and a birthday gift!

Evening lovelies! So I thought I'd do another OOTD post as it features a gift I got for my birthday! A few presents I received early due to my University trip and the cardigan in the photos below is one of them.

I'm a big fan of layering especially in the winter so love cute cardigans! They can often be expensive unless you let the quality suffer which in winter is a big risk. I often buy mine from Primark but they are merely for sitting in uni lectures so low quality doesn't affect me much. I prefer to spend more money on coats and jumpers!
However I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my gift from one of my aunties and saw this! It's a cream patterned piece and is incredibly soft. The colour means it goes with everything and the lace detailing in the back means it works well for nights out too! The length varies, its normal length at the back but the front parts are longer making it look even more unique.
Unfortunately it is a one off item from a boutique in England so I do not know the name of the store but just had to feature it as its so pretty and not me but I still love it!
In the pictures below I styled the cardigan with navy leggings (Topshop), a black silk cami top (River Island) and black leather ankle boots also from River Island.

Of course I also had to take some close up face only selies! My hair was annoying me so I stuck it up in a high ponytail, done my usual make up routine and added one of my favourites - MAC's rubywoo lipstick. It dries to a perfect matte, lasts all day, doesn't bleed and is the perfect shade!
You can also see in the photos below that I am wearing a Swarovski necklace which I was given as an 18th birthday gift. I wear it whenever I can as it's subtle, goes with everything and well, everyone loves crystals!

Anyways guys thanks for reading, I'll be back with another post soon!

Motel Daisy Crop Top Review

Hello! Today's post is just a quick one on an outfit I wore a week or so ago,

In Edinburgh, prior to this week, the weather has been wonderful! This means that I had to take advantage when I was off work and get wear out of Summer clothes which I purchased after my holiday.
One item I bought after Florida is the daisy bardot style crop top you can see in the photos below. It's by Motel but I actually got it through Topshop which was great as it also meant I got my student discount!
I've always been a fan of the bardot style of top however all the one's I'd seen were block colour and when I wanted to wear it with denim, it seemed a little too plain. So obviously when I found this I fell in love!
The quality is great, it fits really well (I got a size small) and the print is bold and bright - exactly what I wanted. In particular though the main point I'd like to make is that the sleeves do not ride up whatsoever which I've noticed is a common problem with the style.

Dana Crop Top By Motel - £22

I teamed the crop top with Topshop high waisted shorts that I've previously blogged about, tights, black ankle boots and of course - red lipstick.
With so many pro's and absolutely no cons, this top is a must have for Summer and would even look great on a night out! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Motel's website from now on.

Thanks for reading guys

Weekly Update - Nails and Make-up

Hello lovelies!
So todays just an update on what I've been doing with myself recently. I am back to university very soon and after my exam on Friday I have been catching up on much needed sleep as revision took over my life! I was also working an awful lot of hours but can finally rest until my uni trip on the 30th.
I have been spending time with my other half and also had a great catch up with my best friend Ashley! Although I was horrifically hungover the next day it was nice to do something that doesn't involve uni or work.

With extra time on my hands I have been trying to sort out clothing for my trip which involves waterproof clothing, old trainers and backpacks - not my usual choice. All that is crucial however I needed some girly time and so did my claws again! I have done a post on these falsies previously but the nail polish is gold glitter by Nail Inc and the coral colour is by Seventeen which I was very impressed with! I added a matte coat on top which I purchased from Sephora.
If like me you get bored of nails easily and don't want to either foot the bill for acrylics or lose your natural healthy nails then use stick ons! Its cheap, you can reuse them, take them off whenever you want and do whatever colours or patterns you feel like week to week!

I did have an awesome hair and make up day if I don't say so myself and so had to share. With less stress and anxiety my skin is improving plus I'm eating much healthier! My fringe is shorter but I need to make a hair appointment as mine is way too thick (it takes me 30-40 minutes to dry) and is driving me mad! However I want to wait until after my trip.
Make up is as normal with a Ted Baker lipstick which I love! I received a set of 4 colours last Christmas, all last so well and the colours are lovely!
My necklace is by Disney Couture, I got it as a gift and it's the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland with the words 'who are you?'. I adore everything Disney and this my 'adult' way of showing it!

Thanks for reading, I'll be back tomorrow!

Missguided Jumpsuit

Hey guys, so here's a fashion blog post! Now unfortunately because of uni and other things I haven't been able to get out properly and so this is an outfit from a while back. However it's one of my favourites and I didn't have a blog at the time so couldn't show it off as well!

So the outfit is a fitted jumpsuit which I purchased off Miss Guided for £29.99. It's one of the first items I ever bought off the site and was happily surprised. It was true to size, great quality considering the price and looked amazing.
It was really flattering, which I was worried about as I am small chested however it, in my opinion, looked great! I felt really good about myself and had a ton of compliments when I was out.
Plus, with the long sleeves and trousers, the deep plunge v-neck remained classy and sophisticated!

The only minor issue I had was with the belt, I bought this in a size 8 and the jumpsuit itself fitted perfectly however the belt was tiny! I have a small waist, as you can see from the below photos but I used a different belt to actually go out in as the one below kept popping off.

My make up was as normal with a red lip to complete it. It also added a pop of colour to this all black outfit!

Miss Guided is a really great site for products which you would also find in Topshop/River Island however at a cheaper price. They have offer colour varietys in 8/10 of their items which is great because often shops lack this! Plus, they have 10% off for students!

So thanks for reading, another post will be tomorrow!

Pandora Birthday Gift - Review

Hello guys, apologies for not posting in a while been absolutely swamped with work and not had a chance to wear anything other than my tesco uniform!
However, I am in the weeks leading up to my 20th birthday and have been getting gifts early. Not only am I away for my birthday on a university trip but one set of my grandparents are on holiday and the other are moving. Unfortunately I won't get to see them until after my birthday so got presents early!
I recieved money off one of my grandparents as they wanted me to buy something I really wanted and I've had my eye on this item for a while.

Pandora has always been a jewellers I have loved but never purchased from as allow their signature bracelets are beautiful, I always forget to put jewellery on! However recently I've been looking for a new ring that was suitable for everyday wear and so was pretty, girly but hard wearing. Then I found this which I immediately fell in love with.
Everyone knows that Disney, fairytales and princesses are a bit love of mine hence why I was so drawn to the ring below.

It's called the 'Princess Tiara ring' which not only describes it perfectly but suits me just as well. It is literally a mini tiara to stick on your finger. The heart, detail and gemstones make it look as though it's been taken off a Disney princesses head!
Plus, the service in the Pandora shop was brilliant and for £40, not only is the ring so reasonably priced it includes a 2 year guarantee. Besides that though the quality of this item is very impressive and I will be going back, not only for myself but for gifts as well.

I would highly recommend Pandora as they have a variety of beautiful items and are great for everyday wear which is difficult to find as most everyday pieces from Topshop/River Island aren't durable.

Anyways, thanks for reading and I will share with you what else I've generously got for my birthday!

Benefit Cosmetics Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner Review

Hello guys!
So today will be another review on an item I purchased a while back - Benefits liquid eyeliner. Now I am a huge fan of the whole Amy Winehouse inspired eye flick and rarely go without it. Hence, having a good quality, long lasting eyeliner is crucial.
I bought this along with other Benefit cosmetic items off the website and got 10% off (student discount). Normal price is £15.50 so yes it is kind of expensive, especially if your a student like me and the eyeliner you used previously was £4!

As you can see from the above photos the packaging is nice and minimal (I hate when small things have large packaging it's very wasteful and unnecessary) although I was surprised at just how small this was. It's a little smaller that normal eyeliners and I assumed for the price it would be larger. But the size is deceiving! I bought this at the end of April this year and it's still completely full. I wear it at least 4/5 days of the week and it looks untouched!
Another thing to note is that the bit where you put the brush in has not dried up at all which is a problem I had previously and it just puts you off. The quality has stayed the same despite me having this for 4 months already which I am very impressed with.
Finally wearing-wise it's the best one I have used so far. It is very easy to use and is true to it's name - jet black. I can go 24 hours with this on and the colour will not fade, smudge onto my eyelid or crack at all (I've tested it for this long). Now considering these benefits you can not complain about the price because it really is worth it!

My only issue is that it isn't waterproof however you know this when buying so I choose to not have that luxury!
Below is a photo of me wearing the eyeliner (it wouldn't let me crop it for some silly reason) and other photos on here as well as my instagram show the product on!

Thanks for reading, I appreciate it!

My 1st Wish/Public Desire Review - Darcy Holographic Shoes

Hello :) So today's post is focusing solely on a pair of shoes I bought for my holiday to Florida!

The shoes are from my1stwish.com and the company is known as Public Desire on Instagram. I have followed them for a while after seeing a fellow blogger recommend them. Most reviews have been on their heels though so I thought it be perfect to do a post on a pair of their flats!

The website itself is filled with all the latest shoes that Topshop and River Island etc have, however, at a quarter of the price. They also have items that you wouldn't find elsewhere like these holographic shoes I purchased,
Now when I saw these they were the first pair I'd ever seen and fell in love. I needed another pair of casual shoes for my holiday but refused to pay £30-£40 when they get ruined most of the time. So I bought these for £12.99.

They arrived very quickly and delivery was the same as everywhere (a few pound) which I didn't grudge considering how cheap it still made them.
Firstly I was very impressed with the quality of these shoes, they are incredibly shiny and the holographic material looks so much better in person.
They are also very comfortable, I wore these multiple times for long periods (8-10 hours) and now once did my feet rub or get sore from the shoes. I even from shoes like Nike trainers end up with 100 blisters if they haven't been fully broke in so considering the chance I took in these I was so impressed.

I would highly recommend this website because the prices are ridiculously low considering the quality is on par with high street shops. I will be purchasing a lot more items from them and hope to get a pair of their gorgeous heels very soon!

Hope you enjoyed this little post, I'll be back soon with an outfit post!
