New Glasses from Primark

 Hello!

Today is just a small, quick post because I have a ridiculous amount of uni work to do but I will post again this week!

So, my eyes are not bad in any sense however, they hurt and go blurry after days in university because I'm constantly looking at screens and reading so I needed a pair of glasses that were just a little bit magnified to help focus my eyes.

Now I think it's ridiculous what some places charge for glasses and contacts and so when I saw reading glasses in Primark I thought this must be too good to be true! They came in 4 different types of prescription, I was the smallest and they had tons of different styles and colours to choose from. I picked the ones you see below, plain, simple but stylish and they cost me £4. An absolute bargain!

They have helped my eyes stay focused and keep the sore heads at bay so I cannot complain considering how cheap they were.

So if your looking for cheap, low prescription reading glasses, Primarks the way to go!

Red Cherry Lashes Review

Hello lovelies!

So as many of you know, I love make-up and trying new things but, I especially love eyelashes! Due to wearing winged eyeliner it sometimes looks like my eyelashes are really small which I absolutely hate and so false eyelashes are the solution.
I used to wear Eyelure lashes 020 however they only lasted at maximum, 3 days and by that point weren't looking great. Considering I never put macasra on top it wasn't worth the money and I gave up. However, after hearing countless people rave about Red Cherry lashes I figured I'd give them a go!

After having a look at reviews and videos I choose the #43 as they looked perfect for everyday! I purchased them off Amazon (links underneath) for £1.99 and the delivery was free so I definitely won with that!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AV47F76/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The arrived within a week or so which I wasn't bothered about anyway considering the cheap price! They looked even better in person, like real lashes i.e. wispie and not all perfectly even which seems about right considering they are human hair.

I have them on in all of the following pictures. They were perfect length which was great, often I need to trim mine which can go wrong and is just a waste considering the price of some lashes!
The were also incredibly light and despite wearing them from 9am in the morning until 10pm at night I couldn't feel them, my eyes never felt heavy and they stayed in place (I use the Eyelure glue).
It's obviously I have fake eyelashes on however they are not in your face and look really flattering and girly so I continue to use them everyday.

So if your looking for eyelashes I would highly recommend these especially when they are available at cheap prices from Amazon!
(Also my lipstick is Heroine by MAC)

River Island High Neck Jumper Review

Hello again guys, this post is just a small one on an outfit I wore on my first day back at university (yesterday) and a review on the jumper as it's a recent purchase!

It's that time again when I need to knuckle down for university, especially this year as I am now in my 3rd year and thus an Honour's student. It's really exciting and my classes are looking great so I'm excited for a challenging but rewarding year!
Now being a university student instantly puts me on a budget and I refuse to ever go near my overdraft so considering I love clothes, I need to be sensible. I also need to ensure what I buy is comfortable for sitting it lectures and warm because obviously it's going to get really cold very soon!
I purposely done an extra 78 hours of overtime at my work last month (bearing in mind that was over 3 weeks on top of my contracted 8 hours a week) to ensure I could buy a good quality winter wardrobe. Also, fortunately when your a student a lot of shops have student discount anyway but the amount off increases during Freshers week.

River Island Turtle Neck - £25

However this top that you see above was a full price buy and was something I've wanted for ages. I had seen it on River Islands website and fell in love, it's great for layering, covers my chest (from the cold) and is nice and baggy. I waited for ages to buy it but no shops were sticking it and I eventually just ordered it into the store (which is free) instead. I bought it in grey which was the only colour available at the time but couldn't find it on the website - although I did just buy the maroon one!

I wore the top to university and must say was not disappointed. Despite being relatively thin the high neck just made me so cosy! I wore a black top underneath because I love to layer my clothes in the winter and it meant I was even warmer.
The boxy style of the jumper was very flattering as it made my legs look longer and slimmer and made me look like I was just wrapped up nicely!
Another thing I have with jumpers is itchy-ness, I cannot stand being itchy in jumpers especially when they aren't exactly cheap but the material of this one was perfect. I was so comfortable and it did not cause any irritation whatsoever.
In terms of the price I feel that £25 is actually really reasonable, this jumper is fashionable, warm and comfortable and would easily be double the price in somewhere like Topshop. Plus considering how cold Winter can get, I will happily pay a good amount when I want to be shielded from the cold!

Finally I paired the jumper with black Primark leggings (£3) and my new Nike trainers which I'll show you in my next blog post!
My hair was left natural, normal make-up was worn along with Red Cherry lashes (a review will be up soon) and MAC's Ruby Woo lipstick to give a pop of colour!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Review

Morning!
So if you follow me on Instagram you will have noticed I recently purchased new eyebrow products by Anastasia Beverly Hills. Since so many people do their eyebrows and asked me about the products I figured I should do a review on my blog.

Now I've followed Anastasia Beverly Hills on Instagram for a long time as I was fascinated by what people were able to do with her products. I normally use a Calvin Klein pencil but it was too block-y and unnatural hence I decided to give something else a go.
I had done a lot of overtime at work and bought the following items off Cult Beauty for a total of £60 (shipping was free) - DipBrow Promade in auburn, the Pro Pencil in base 1, Clear Brow Gel and Brow Wiz in auburn.

They came within 3 or 4 days which I was shocked at considering it was free shipping so I was very pleased when the package arrived. It was all wrapped tightly in bubble wrap and there was no way it could be damaged whilst being handled.
Everything was exactly as I'd assumed it would be although, the Dip Brow Promade did contain more product that I had anticipated (always a good thing!).

As you can see below I have very little eyebrow hair and not very much shape and so mimicking such is really difficult. I watched a good few tutorials on how to use the Anastasia Beverly Hills products and everyone seemed to be an established MUA and so I did start to panic thinking I wouldn't have the talent to use the products properly.

However, I copied what I had seen and used my initiative in terms of blending with a spooley brush and the outcome was as below. The products just seemed to work through very little effort and the Dip Brow Promade mimicked hair so well I couldn't believe that it took me only 5 minutes to achieve.
The difference is so clear when compared with my other eyebrows, before it took me ages to go round with concealer to get the perfect shape and thus constantly just smudged but because the Anastasia Beverly Hills products involves a lot of blending and building up its more precise and you get the shape you want first time.

I am much happier with my eyebrows now as they look much more natural and realistic, so, I highly recommend people buy the products mentioned. If you watch one or two tutorials then its very simple to apply and so anyone can use these items. Yes £60 does seem a lot but you get a lot of product, you barely use any each time you draw your eyebrows on and the difference is just faultless, there is absolutely no reason you could use to justify not using this product!

My 3rd Year Field Trip - Bangor

Hello guys, as I've mentioned previously, I had my 3rd year University field trip the other week and thought I should do a small post on what happened when I was there!

We went to Bangor which is located in the North of Wales and is absolutely stunning. The weather was amazing the whole time we were there and so made the whole experience that much better. Everything is so green and even the houses are built quite old fashioned and you feel like your part of the Hobbit!

We visited the Snowdonia National Park, Anglesey and a few other areas I do not know the names off but each one had so much to see whether it was glacial scenery or a castle, everything was fascinating.

Obviously this trip was for University and so a lot of work had to be done. Our days began at 8am and finished at 10pm, most of this time was spent outside walking and therefore we were all knackered but knowing the pub was waiting at the end of every day did make it easier.
We were in groups for our projects (mine was about how different types of forests affect river quality) and I was very fortunate to be with two lovely ladies - Meradith and Liz. We worked really hard on our project but also had a lot of fun whilst gathering our data and our presentation came out better than I thought. So, I was really fortunate to have been with two people who were as enthusiastic as myself about the work.

Everyone on the trip was lovely and hard working which made me feel more comfortable and pushes you do more yourself. Even the staff were amazing, really helpful, up for a good laugh and didn't take things too seriously so everyone just had such an amazing time. It was great to meet people I had never met previously as well as getting to know lecturers in a different atmosphere - the pub - which just made the whole experience that more relaxing.

I highly recommend Bangor as a holiday destination as it's simply beautiful but also for any other geographers because there's just a huge amount to see in terms of physical landscape.

My Birthday Week!

Hello lovelies!
So as those of you who follow me on Instagram or have me on Facebook know, it was my birthday on the 30th of August! I thought I'd share what I did the week leading up to it and share some of the presents I received.

I was very fortunate and was given a lot of money for my birthday which I used to purchase my Pandora ring (previously blogged), ugg boots (see below) and some items for my trip in Bangor.

River Island Uggs - £30

My wonderful boyfriend also spoiled me by surprising me with an Olaf toy which I love. I adore everything Disney and watch 'Frozen' all the time so it was incredibly thoughtful for him to buy me such a gift.
He also generously bought me the over the knee boots seen below from River Island. I have yet to wear them but they are beautiful and I cannot wait to wear them out so keep an eye out as I'll do a review on them!

River Island Over the Knee Boots

Sadly my birthday week was majorly spent getting ready for my University trip and therefore I was unable to celebrate properly however I will blog about my trip away as I celebrated there instead.
But, I did get doughnuts from Krispy Kreme instead of a birthday cake which made my day as doughnuts are just unbelievably good. I managed to eat 5 the day I got them which was both a great idea and a bad one!

I've also thrown in the above work selfie purely because I have been wearing my hair natural recently and on this particular day I think it looked lovely. My hairs so thick now and takes too long to straighten so until I get it cut its down and wavy or in a messy pony tail/bun because I'm really lazy!

Anyways thanks for reading!

Tall Jersey Pleated Skirt from Topshop - Review

Hey guys, so this post is a review on one of my recent purchases from Topshop - the tall jersey pleated skirt.

I love skirts, mainly because they can be worn at any time of year which is what brought me to this one in the first place. It seemed like the material would be warm and grey goes with everything so it would be perfect for uni!

I decided to go with the one from the 'Tall' section because some of Topshop's skirts can be a little short and considering this was meant for sitting in lecture, it needed to be a suitable length.
It actually came longer than I thought it would and ended up looking better. I am able to wear it high waisted and thus tuck tops/jumpers etc into it (as seen below). The material is stretchy, thicker than typical skirts and very comfy. It reminds me of a school skirt in the sense it's pleated and this just makes it look really smart and even more perfect for university!

It cost £25 for the 'Tall' one whereas the original is £20 however the extra was well worth it as I just feel it looks so much nicer and more sophisticated. It just isn't a type of a skirt that I see as a mini and so having an extra few centimetres added is perfect for me.

I teamed mine with a Primark green V-neck jumper, thick tights and ankle boots for a causal winter look. I added red lipstick to give the outfit a little more colour and with my hair down, I think I looked quite lovely!

So all in all I highly recommend this item, its a perfect item for Winter and can be worn hundreds of different ways that £25 is just such a bargain!

Thanks for reading, I'll be back with another post tomorrow

Lazy Day

Hello guys!

So apologies for not posting recently I've been on my university field trip in Bangor which was amazing! I shall do a separate post on what I got up to there, next week as I'm working all weekend.
This post is simply to show use what I look like when I have a lazy day!

So my lazy days involve food shopping, cleaning, washing and ironing before a takeaway and night with Netflix. My lazy day prior to leaving for my trip I surprisingly put make-up on which isn't common, I normally go make-up free!
If I do put my face on though I make more of an effort than normal, simply because my fringe is swept off my face. When I'm cleaning and doing the washing my fringe gets in the way so it's so much easier just to pin it back and therefore my eyebrows require a little more time spent on them!

My make up is as normal minus my signature black eye-liner flicks! They are just time consuming on lazy days so to give my eyes a little depth I used a light brown eye shadow from MAC on the crease. Unfortunately I don't know the exact name of the shadow but for someone who hates eye shadow, it's definitely my favourite. The brown just isn't too harsh and thus great for everyday.
I also stuck on MAC's ruby woo just to make my lips stand out a little as I feel naked without having at least eyeliner or lipstick on!

In terms of my hair, this is normally the last day I leave it unwashed. I've managed to train my hair to stay grease free for up to 5 days (although I wash my fringe every 2) as I only blow dry and straighten it on day one. Day 2 or 3 I'll put it in a ponytail or bun then it will be left for a couple more days.
This is meant my hair is not only in much better condition but has also grown so much faster as I'm just letting it be. My hair here has been thrown up in a bun and any hair sticking out gets pinned down so it's a 2 minute job but looks great (I think anyway).

Well thanks for reading this little post, I will be back at the start of next week!
Much love,
xox
