Topshop DESTROY Over The Knee Boots

Hello! So I'm back with a review of the most beautiful boots I've ever owned!

Boots have been the 'it' piece of the winter season, especially those to the knee and over. They are warm, can be casual and dressed up, leather or suede so it makes them perfect for everyone! I already have a suede heeled pair which I adore however really wanted ones for everyday, that wouldn't get ruined in the winter weather.
I spotted the boots below a month or so ago and instantly fell in love, over the knee, black, flat heeled and leather makes them great for day to day. One thing really did stand out though for me which was that they only cost £89. Even really bargain shops with poor quality are charging at least £40 so these are very much a steal.
Named 'Topshop DESTROY Over Knee Boots' they are very true to size, impeccable quality and very flattering. They make me look taller and my legs slimmer (yes at 5ft 8 I'm still not happy haha), plus they are unbelievable comfortable. Even some trainers rip the back of my ankles and I've easily spend £1000 on blister plasters in the past few years. No matter what I spend and what shoe, I am very likely to experience discomfort somewhere. Leather can be tricky as sometimes it's not so flexible and so until it alters to move with my feet, it causes pain. With these I had no issue and so love wearing them to uni which requires a good bit walking.
With student discount your also saving some money but seriously, these are a must have and I will wearing these a lot with skirts and dresses on chilled nights out as Spring approaches!

I AM BACK!

Hello lovelies! HUGE apology for being inactive for over a month however with exams and family issues I just haven't had the time or energy to post. I am now back and with Christmas over, have a ton of new things to blog about.

On that note, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with Santa spoiling you, I know I was very much spoilt which I was not expecting. I am so grateful for everything I received and cannot wait to share it with you all, along with reviews on my opinion of the items.

This post involves an outfit I wore to my works night out a couple of Saturdays ago. It was at a bowling club and I was super excited as my work colleagues are a brilliant laugh. I also couldn't wait to wear a new outfit I had purchased specially for the occasion!

In the above photo is myself and a work friend who pulled out all the stops in his Christmas suit, I had to get a photo!
In terms of my outfit, I felt I looked pretty damn good! The high neck top was a purchase from Topshop (£10 before student discount) and the skirt was also from there which was £38 but is now £20 in the sale. The top I have already in green and for £10 you cannot go wrong. It's comfortable, not itchy, fits well and keeps you warm on these cold nights (chest wise).
The skirt I was originally unsure of as I've never worn gold, silver, metallic clothing before but family assured me it would suit my hair. I am super happy I followed their advice as I felt it looked great. Really made my outfit pop and is perfect for this time of year as sparkles and metals are everywhere.
I teamed the outfit with over the knee platform suede boots from River Island (£70). These beauties were purchased for my birthday off my better half and so weren't available at a cheaper price. The amount was well invested though as they not only look fantastic, they are unbelievably comfy (I wore them 5:30pm - 3am) and keep you warm. They are also just a nice alternative to the normal platform, court shoes that are commonly worn when out!

In terms of make-up I used all my normal products (I will do an update on what exactly those are very soon) but also used some new pieces which I want to talk about.
I received some new MAC Cosmetic items from the other half which included MAC glitter in shade 'gold'. I applied this by using eyelash glue on my lid and pressing the glitter on with a flat brush. It's loose so very messy but worth it as it stayed on all night and with glitter you can never go wrong!
On the inner corners, I used another new product from MAC which is the pigment in Vanilla. Again this is loose but easier to control and there's no need for glue. It's super shiny and totally brightens your eyes which looks lovely. The combination of the glitter and pigment just meant my eyes super stood out and popped.
I used MAC myth on my lips which is a beautiful matte nude lipstick and I wear it all the time. I either have bright eyes or bright lips so obviously here, nude lipstick was the way to go. It can be drying but as long as you look after your lips and use Vasaline or similar then you should be alright.

I also wore a daisy chocker, the only piece of jewellery (apart from my piercings) I had on that night. It was just to break up my top half a little and I think added a little cute-ness to my outfit. I purchased it from Forever 21 about 2 years ago for around £6.
Below are a couple more photographs from the night, along with links to all the items I have discussed.

New buys - iPhone and River Island boots

Hello guys! So I've been ridiculously busy with uni but finally submitted my first essay this morning, only 6 more to go! I have written this post though to show you two buys, one recent and one not so much so I could review them.

First of all I finally reached the end of my contract with my Samsung S3 and took a dive in the deep end with an iPhone. I've never had one but thought it was worth a try. I got the iPhone 5s in gold which looks fab, the white and gold together make it look super stylish and cute. The phone itself is also brilliant, easy to work, has all the apps I need and an amazing camera! Being a blogger and instagrammer, this is a must. I honestly don't know why I haven't invested in one of these before but I'm really impressed with it and just now waiting on my phone case!

I also bought the boots below last month from River Island. I was in dire need of new waterproof boots for winter but wanted something a little different to the normal chelsea boot. So I saw these beauties on RI's website and had to have them, I love a cleated sole as it looks quite gothic (which suits me perfectly) and the platform means they dress up any casual outfit. They are ridiculously comfy and easy to walk in which of course is another plus considering it will be snowing soon! So, considering they were a mere £36 I cannot emphasise how great these are and at such a steal. Many winter boots are over priced and completely fall apart but RI have an amazing, good quality Winter collection so go check it out!

I'll be back in the next few days to review another recent purchase from Topshop but for now, I hope you enjoyed this post!

What I've Purchased This Week - Boots and ASOS

Hey guys! So exam's have officially started and I had my first one today - Knowledge and Reality. It went a lot better than I had expected so I am pretty damn pleased!
I have purchased a good few new items this week which I will run through but more in depth reviews will be made in the next wee while!

My first lot of purchases was from Boots online. I normally shop in store but needed some new things and simply didn't have the time to go in. Plus if you spend over £40 you get free delivery so I wasn't paying extra for that. It came 3 days after I had ordered which I didn't expect with it being free so was just in time for the weekend.

As you can see I got the Boots parcel and my Graze box at the same time which is always nice, love having things delivered as I often forget what I've purchased plus it's something to look forward too.

I bought two sets of Eyelure lashes 070 which were £5.49 each however I got one for free due to the 3 for two promotion they had on. The third item I bought in this deal was the Sleek make-up face contour kit which I cannot wait to review! I've been dying to give contouring a go but wasn't sure what products to use and didn't want to spend a fortune. After hearing a ton of good reviews on the product, seeing its in the 3 for 2 and that it was only £6.49 I had to buy.
I then bought two items from the Benefit cosmetics range - They're Real mascara and Magic Ink jet black liquid eyeliner. I always use this mascara and cannot recommend it enough, yes there's a rather large price tag (£19.50) but it is justified by how brilliant the product is. It never smudges, I never have large bits of mascara on my lashes because if looked after it doesn't go dry and goes on super smooth. It's the first mascara I've purchased that also separates every single bottom lash!
The eyeliner (£15.50) is again not cheap but I'm expecting big things as Benefit have never let me down!

As mentioned I will be doing more in depth reviews on these items with pictures of me wearing them so you can have a better look.

I also, due to feeling confident after my exam, purchased two items of ASOS. I got a lovely 25% off student discount voucher (go onto unidays) and it is advertised on their website and couldn't help myself!
I am addicted to jumpsuits so the item below was something I've been wanting for a while, I love the back detail, with it being black I can do so much with shoes, accessories and make-up so for £25 and taking away the discount it was a steal!

ASOS Unitard with Back Strap Detail - £25

The second item I bought is the dress below, a beautiful plunge neck midi dress which I think oozes sophistication as your legs are nearly all covered and so gives way to have some cleavage showing! I feel items like this really flatter a small chest which makes it perfect for me and again being black means i have so many options for accessories and make-up!

Oh My Love Plunge-neck Bodycon Dress - £38

Outfit posts will definitely be needed for both my ASOS items so look out for them in the next month (no nights out until after exams)!
Thanks for reading
