Outfit Post and Islands of Adventure

Evening guys! Unfortunately I have been so busy lately with overtime at work but back with another holiday outfit post and pictures.
This focuses on Universals Island of Adventure Park and what I wore on one of the days we went.

So first of all, my outfit! Of course in the blistering heat I need to be cool but still safe from UV rays. Hence I put together this ridiculously cute combo.
My crop top is from River Island and I purchased it a few years ago. It's served be very well and goes brilliant with anything high waisted. It;s really thin material as well but not see through which is a big plus. Many summer clothes are see through so you need to wear another top underneath with defeats the purpose of buying the item in the first place!
The shorts are a recent buy from Topshop specifically for my holidays. Topshop have the best denim items around and in my opinion are well worth the money. These are a lovely light colour for Summer and fit amazingly! Sometimes I find high waisted shorts are unflattering for your bum but these are great. I am sure they were around £30 and considering I have worn them so much and will continue to do so, they were well worth it!
Now, accessories!
The bum bag, something I always hated as a kid is huge this summer and I'm loving them! Mines was a River Island purchase and at £20 is pricey but being black, leather and having tassels, I literally couldn't resist. Going on so many rides I didn't want to carry a handbag or backpack so considering you can get a fair amount in this, it served perfectly!
My glasses are circled, retro looking sunglasses that only cost £10 from River Island. They look very pin-up like and went with everything I wore. They also came with a small drawstring silk bag to keep them on which kept them clean whilst in my bag.
Finally, my hat is from Urban Outfitters. I have reviewed it previously but honestly everyone should have a huge black hate as they are just so awesome!

Above are a few of my photographs taken at Island of Adventure! I loved this park as all the different worlds had so much effort put into them and I was amazed at every single one. They currently have Dr Seuss, Jurassic Park, Sinbad, Comic Book and Harry Potter worlds. Each one huge and overdone but beyond tacky. There's so much to look at and do that it's physically impossible to do everything there in a couple of days!
The rides were fantastic, my favourites being the water ones! The waits were very reasonable as we tended to go single rider and the water gave you such relief from the heat.
Harry Potter world was of course my favourite part. I adore the films and was absolutely buzzing to have the opportunity to see what Florida had to offer. The amount of people there was insane but that came to no surprise considering the success of the books and films. The rides were fantastic, the main one being a simulation ride which we waited 2 hours for but it was well worth it! The castle was identical as were the shops, you literally felt like you were walking through the films. There was lots of merchandise like wands, scarf's, toy owls, badges, chocolate frogs, butter beer etc and all prices were very reasonable. The thing with these parks as well is that there is an incredible amount of stock that you will never go and not find what you want.

Anyways I hope you enjoy this post and the photos attached! I'll be back soon!
